Terms & Conditions when booking at The Godolphin, Marazion
Payments and policies
Upon deposit payment or full payment for your reservation, you are entering into a contract and accepting The Godolphin’s terms & conditions as set out below.
- Your room will be ready from 3PM on the day of arrival.
- Luggage storage is available for residents who arrive earlier than the designated check in time. Guests leave personal belongings at their own risk.
- If travelling by car, please register your number plate with our reservations team prior to arrival so that this can be logged on the parking system.
- The Godolphin is not responsible for any parking fines served to residents who have not provided their car registration plate to reception either pre arrival or upon check in.
- The Godolphin does not accept liability for any loss or damage to vehicles left in the resident parking bays, located in the Marazion short-stay car park.
- On your day of departure, check out is by 11 AM unless previously agreed with our reservations team. Late check out fees of £25 may apply.
- We will carry out an ID check on arrival. Valid forms of ID can either be a passport, driving license or credit/ debit card registered to the lead guest. A copy of any photo ID will be taken at check in.
- Upon arrival, a pre-authorisation against a credit/ debit card must be taken.
- For standard reservations of 3 nights or less, credit/ debit card details will be taken at the time of booking and full prepayment will be taken from the given card 7 days prior to arrival. Full payment will be taken at the time of booking if the reservation is within this time frame.
- For standard reservations of 3 nights or less, we allow cancellation free of charge 8 days prior to arrival.
- For standard reservations of 4 nights or more, the first night's room rate is taken at the time of booking. This is refundable up until 12 weeks prior to your arrival date. If cancellation is within this period, your deposit will be forfeited with no exceptions. The remaining balance for a reservation will be taken from the given card 7 days prior to arrival.
- All cancellations require written notice to the following email: hello@thegodolphin.com and must be made within the given cancellation period.
- The Godolphin does not accept payment for accommodation via cash, cheque or BACS. We do accept most major credit/ debit cards.
- All special offers require full payment upon booking which is non-refundable and non-transferable.
- All special offers are subject to availability and cannot be used in conjunction with each other.
- All prices shown are based on two adults sharing and include breakfast each morning. Extra guests are charged additionally and can only be accommodated in certain rooms. Please contact reservations at the time of booking to see if we can accommodate your request.
- The Godolphin strongly recommends that you take our private travel insurance to protect you against unforeseen circumstances that may result in cancellation charges.
- No refunds are issued to guests who do not stay for the full duration of their reservation.
- If travelling with children, we ask guests that you please notify us at the time of booking if they require an extra bed so that our reservations team can advise if we have a suitable room available. Please note that we do not provide travel cots.
- Children must not be left in rooms on their own.
- 9 out of our 10 hotel rooms are dog friendly. Please notify us in advance if you will be bringing your dog with you. Our Salty Paws package found HERE provides all information and Ts&Cs for dog-friendly stays.
- The Godolphin in a non-smoking property. Smoking is strictly forbidden in all guest bedrooms, balconies and communal hotel areas. A penalty of £150 will be issued is there is reasonable suspicion that a guest has broken the terms & conditions regarding smoking.
- We remind guests that they will be liable for any loss, damage or complaints that may be caused at The Godolphin because of your party. This includes any amenities in the room that are not complimentary.
- For guests staying on a dinner, bed & breakfast basis, your allocated allowance is for use towards food in our restaurant and cannot be exchanged for any monetary value in the form of a refund. No refunds or discounts will be applied if the guest does not use the allocated value towards meals.
- The Godolphin is open to non-residents as well as hotel guests and we therefore strongly advise that you book dinner tables in advance to avoid disappointment.
Special offers & Advance Purchase
Full payment will be required to confirm your booking. Advance purchase rates and special offers are subject to availability and only 1 offer can be applied to each stay. Your room rate will be confirmed at the time of booking; we regret that we cannot change the rate or terms of your stay once a booking has been confirmed. All room prices are based on 2 adults sharing and includes breakfast.
Cancellations
For standard reservations, if you let us know in writing 8 days or more before check-in there will be no charge.
If you wish to cancel your booking, we must receive notice in writing to our email address hello@thegodolphin.com
7 days before check-in we will take a non-refundable payment from your card for the outstanding balance of your reservation. For Special Offers and Advance Purchase Rates, no refunds will be given.
We strongly recommend that you take out private travel insurance for your holiday to protect you from unforeseen circumstances that may result in cancellation charges.
Travelling with Children
We ask all our guests to notify us at the time of booking if they require an extra bed so we can advise if we have a suitable room available – children must not be left in rooms on their own.
Additional charges are as follows:
3-12 years £27.50 per night - includes breakfast Children over 12 years of age must be accommodated in their own bed. Our z-beds are not suitable for children over 12 years of age. Cots – whilst we don’t supply cots please let us know if you would like to bring your own and we will advise if we have a room big enough.
Dogs
While we accept and welcome well-behaved dogs (8 months and older) and their responsible owners, we do have a few rules.
- The Godolphin is perfect for dogs, but we do ask that they are kept on a lead at all times in the public areas.
- Dogs are not allowed on the furniture, including beds.
- Dogs must not be left in rooms on their own.
- We have 8 dog-friendly rooms please check when making your reservation that we have the rooms available.
- Owners are liable for any damage caused by their dogs.
- Any complaints that arise due to noisy dogs must be dealt with by the owner.
- We reserve the right to ask any dog to be removed from the hotel at any time.
There is an additional cost of £25 for the first night and £15 for subsequent nights. An additional dog is £10 per night of stay with a max of 2 dogs per room.
Smoking
Smoking and vaping is strictly forbidden in all guest bedrooms. A penalty of £150 will be charged in the case of smoking. Guests are reminded that The Godolphin is a non-smoking property.
Damages, losses and complaints
We remind guests that they will be liable for any loss, damage or complaints that may be caused at The Godolphin as a result of your party. This includes any amenities in the room that are not complimentary.
For guests staying on a Dinner, Bed and Breakfast basis your allocated allowance is for use towards food in our restaurant.
- There are no refunds or discounts for meals not taken by guests.
- A table will be reserved in the restaurant at the time of booking, but it is advised to specify a preferred time for your meal, to avoid disappointment as the restaurant can get busy.
Note: If you have made a reservation at our Bed and Breakfast Rate, we strongly advise you to book a table if you wish to dine with us to avoid disappointment. Please contact our reception team or book online.
